 I wouldn't assume that; however, our pursuit of the good life is a part of luck and chance. One reason I partially agree is because I have been seeing people on the higher job position who don't even deserve it. Those situations are based on luck and chance not based on whether he or she earns it. Furthermore, I have been seeing students who went to college end up with another job instead of their dream job. This argument doesn't make me feel different about the things I value. It's just sometimes not about your capacity but it's about how lucky you are spiritually.

 I believe the main point of why it is easy for people to feel pity for someone is because the majority of human instinct automatically sends a message to our brain that any of our family members could be in that situation too. Also, to understand pain the person will probably be through which is the sentiment of empathy. In contrast, one of the reasons someone could make it harder to feel pity for someone only if that person was the enemy or someone that used to be a threat is family. I disagree with Aristotle because the person doesn’t have to be like us or to be related in order to feel pity for someone. Every human being as blood, heart, brain and veins which absolutely can make human being feel another human calamity.

 This week’s discussion has not made me think differently about King and his legacy. However, Martin has made me believe that he used five principles for what he believes which are justice, peace, love, truth and freedom. He used those principles as a way to feed his soul based on what he desires. Moreover, Martin has given credit to Grandhi’s by following his philosophy of nonviolence principle. That’s proof Martin Luther King has shown he has different people's blueprint of his movement even if the person is not around him physically. To conclude, Martin Luther King was not alone by having so much positive energy surrounding him by giving him faith and guidance for the civil rights movement.

 As a christian woman, Susan B Anthony believes that mankind has been blessing and protecting from god before there was government. That’s significant because the United States government  doesn’t support equal rights and they have shown that voting seems like a crime for certain citizens in the United States. To conclude, Anthony's point of views suppose the aspect of natural rights for everyone to have their own liberty and property.

I disagree with Thoreau’s because he makes it seem like a democracy decision wouldn’t be fair for the society. Thoreau should know that our president right now is a democratic and he’s making the best  decision that could be fair for the majority of the people in the U.S and around the world and that’s the reason he was elected as the president.

 I think that everyone was probably going to be focused on art if this was the guiding idea. I believe that education limits certain people to reach who they want to become without a degree. Also, the education system is a business. The radical change I would like to see in education is to stop charging students money for every single thing that’s related to education.

 I think this passage discusses how political debate looks in a democracy. The tone of a politician plays a huge role in politics. In order for a politician to gain what he or she needs from the public , convict them based on how the politician expresses itself. That’s the reason why politicians are liars because they have to say what the population wants to hear. Unfortunately, the population will pay the consequences later on because the politician's goal was to gain what he or she needs from the public. Especially when it is about voting. Democratic politicians good at using tones of docile strategy.

 I agree with Socrates' idea. It is actually similar to a governor who ran for president in campaign. The governor usually talks about equal rights for the society even though he or she might not mean it. The governor uses the equal right from the constitution to convict the society as a way to get the majorities of the society to vote. That’s significant, lies that everyone must believe for our society to function is equal right. The equal right system could be used as a noble lie, just for the governor who ran for president could benefit voters that she or he needs from the society.

 Polemarchus says, “But I no longer know what I did mean. However, it is still my opinion that justice is helping friends and harming enemies” (page 11, second paragraph). I believe that Polemarchus doesn’t really know the meaning of justice. Justice is to be fair. That’s significant if Polemarchus has a friend who did something wrong to the enemies, so he supposes to have courage to let his friend know that he is guilty. That means justice doesn’t mean that Polemarchus is supposed to be good to his friend and harm the enemies. It’s all about having the conscious to judge right from wrong or wrong from right.
